Join us for an experiential workshop designed to introduce you to both wild, native, and domestic medicinal plants.

As a participant will you spend two days learning how to nourish yourself and take care of your family by deepening your relationship with plants and connecting to place, and making and deepening relationships with community. Our days will include:

    • Plant identification with a Plant Walk
    • Basic information on medicinal plants in North America
    • Ethical harvesting & care-taking
    • Tour Domestic Garden Herbs
    • Learn about basic healing qualities and how plants are used to treat common ailments including mental well-being
    • Creating different types of herbal medicine including:
      • Salves
      • Ointments
      • Tinctures
      • Compresses/fomentations
      • Infusions/decoctions
      • Using fresh wild plants for first aid situations
      • Creating an herbal first aid kit
      • Creating a winter medicine cabinet

Each participant will make herbal medicines to bring home for their personal first aid kit and winter medicine cabinet.
