Dear Friends of WildWise School,
Our 2019 nature-based education programs for Spring and Summer are coming to an end, and our Fall, Winter, and Annual programs are gearing up and are now open for enrollment!
WildWise School offers a unique approach to experiencing nature. Not just outdoor play, we help guide the transformation of our students and how they grow to see the world around them. Through environmental immersion programs, we are enkindling an approach deeply rooted in the indigenous ancient knowledge of our ancestors. We are about more than developing outdoor skills, we are about developing thriving human beings and soulful leaders in their communities who will continue to pass these teachings on for generations.
We teach real outdoor and wilderness skills to foster a community of people of all ages in our area who are connected with the natural world. Utilizing pathways of connection to nature through group play and wilderness skills, our students are given the support they need to thrive and flourish through challenges, where they learn leadership, respect, and confidence to be their best selves.
When I was on this trip, I learned a lot, like how to take care of myself in the wild and also work as a community, and this taught me a lot about myself. – Tristan R.
We consistently hear from our adult students and the parents of our youth students, that they had an incredible time in our nature programs. We love building these relationships with individuals, children and their families, and appreciate being able to mentor them, year after year.
At WildWise School, we keep our camp and program tuition as low as we can while providing a living wage to our highly trained and diverse instructors. Even though our camp tuition is on parity with other nature camps in the area, we recognize that it can be financially difficult to send kids to camp or to attend intensive workshops. That is why we created our scholarship program to help families in need.
We grant scholarships and deferred or discounted payment plans to over 50% of our students each year who would not otherwise be able to attend our programs due to financial hardship.
Nature connection is for everyone. That is why we are committed to making our camps accessible for as many students as possible. We are proud to offer need-based scholarships for students who would like to attend our programs. Discounts can be available for up to half off the program cost.
The WildWise experience is amazing! When I first met our guide, I immediately knew that my experience was going to be fun and hard. – Ryland R.
